After reading this online article called Part of me died when I saw this cruel killing that describes a Iraqi woman journalist that was well respected and followed her heart to unite the Iraqi people around the good that they offered was brutally murdered "in the name of Allah" by the evil, fearful and oppressive Al-Qaeda and Taliban Islamic fundamentalists. The real question is; are the Taliban and Al-Qaeda approach to Islam a poor or wrong interpretation of the Quran (Koran)?
After viewing this site The Middle East Media Research Institute's Inquiry and Analysis Series - No. 273 about the reforms needed to take place in Islam it makes you wonder if such ideas and reforms are possible. After looking at this site Jihad Watch about the more subversive approach Islam works toward is it any wonder that they've chosen a different path using the same "thought-action-habit-character-destiny" approach by the more negative side of hate than of love. But why?
John 3:16-18: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
But of more importance is where is this evil all leading us to?
What even most Christians think is that, or the lack thereof, is the more liberal slant of Chritianity: we all want peace and we've created this problem! This includes those Christians that believe that the Sermon on the Mount and what the rest of the Gospels teach us are for us today. There are two basic problems with both the "where is evil leading us" and "Love and Peace is what Jesus teaches us to do in His Kingdom now" views of the more liberal churches.
1. Based on the above Bible verses Man has the capacity to do evil as well as "good" especially under the guidance of Satan, but these Muslims choose evil rather than good "in the name of Allah". When you constantly hear that most Muslims are against Israel while the Bible states that Israel is His Chosen nation, those that are against Israel are against God (In the future a Muslim army will attack Israel and be slaughtered by God supernaturally).
2. But when you look the Bible Prophecy you see a different story, especially when you read the book of Revelation. While the book has 22 chapters, chapters 4-19 contain some of the worse judgements to happen to the world since the Great Flood during Noah's time. If you'd like to understand more, read Events of the Second Coming which describes an overview of what will happen during these chapters in Revelation while Terms To Know describes some of the key terms that explain End Times prophecies.
Based on the original story, it would seem that religion is becoming much more pronounced and counterfeit to what the Bible states: that religion changes man from the outside in while in true Chritianity the Holy Spirit changes a man from the inside out and in the name of religion let's kill those that go against our beliefs.
So, the sequence of events in the future are:
The Great Apostacy - where even Christians will leave the Chritian church to follow counterfeit religons, including Islam, Buddism, and Hinduism, no matter how sincere they are and the rise of terror and evil.
The Great Tribulation - where about 1/2 to 3/4 of the world's population will be killed
The Battle of Armagedon - where Believers and Jesus Christ will come to kill the last remaining unbelievers to set the stage of the Millenium
The Millenium - where there will be 1000 years of peach with Jesus Christ establishing His Kindgon here on earth with no wars or any of the current health problems.

UPDATE 5/8/06: It seems that the video of the murder of the Iraqi journalist is a hoax per Atwar Bahjat horror story [UPDATE: it's a hoax.]. Goes to show that even bad AND news in error travels fast!!
But the bottom line on the video and pictures: who would STILL do such a thing? Only EVIL people!!

Would love to see your opinion of "Thomas Ice (Bloopers)," "Pretrib Rapture Diehards," "Open Letter to Todd Strandberg," "Famous Rapture Watchers," and (last but not least) "Appendix F: Thou Shalt Not Steal" - all 5 found on Google.
It would be nice if you had links to these, but I'll dig them up as I find them. The one thing I will notice is that from a historical perspective, I like the fact that you have found errors in primary documents (I have a degree in History, but I think the link you want me to look at is here: http://poweredbychrist.homestead.com/Thomas_Ice_Bloopers.html ).
OTOH, while you may have found errors in the accuracy of the documents, the real question is: do the facts of PreTribulation connect the dots of Christian Doctrine? Only more research on my part will determine an answer.
OK, I've done some googling and found this article Rapture Ready's Margaret MacDonald Who? that disputes the comments and research you point out. It's a great article describing the truth to what is wrong with those against PreTrib approaches.
Just because no one "talked about" the Tribulation until the 1800's as far as you discuss does NOT mean it was not discussed at all before then. But in an article The Rapture Lie it misses completely the fact that God speaks through a NUMBER of people, including those that are not scholars, which could exclude this writer. God will use anyone to get His message across and you will notice throughout the Bible, both in the OT and NT, that He uses just about anyone to get the message out.

Uh, where did this "Jesuit cunning" judgement come from? Or "the pages of this elaborate forgery" comment? There is no reference to this comment other than a person's opinion. But from my standpoint, there is not Scriptural references to dispute this writer's belief, only his opinion.
What is so significant is that the book of Revelation is 22 chapters, and chapters 4-19 discuss a period of seven years in length and are about the most devastating things that will happen to this earth since the Great Flood and most of the arguments are about dotting the i or crossing the t without any reference to the book as a whole.
As I find more info, I'll post it, but so far the information has not changed my thoughts.

Here's the key to proving that the rapture and related expectations are complete nonsense based on the failure to understand (or the purposeful confounding of) the ancient Hebrew symbology used to construct all of these prophecies.
Pay close attention, profundity knocks at the door, listen for the key. Be Aware! Scoffing causes blindness...
Did you ever consider that Christianity is the false prophet of the Apocalypse, that Rome is the so-called anti-messiah, and Jesus Christ is the false messiah? The symbolism of seven years (tribulation) would refer to the seven 360-year cycles from the 11th cycle (second temple period) until now, the 17th cycle on the Hebrew calendar. Remember that the prophecies were written by Hebrews, not Romans or other Europeans, and Revelation is a symbolic treatise. Therefore, years are symbols for 360-year cycles on the Hebrew calendar. Likewise, a day symbolizes a literal year and Judgement Day, and Great Day refer to a year long period. The so-called Tribulation is now coming to an end, not starting, and the three faiths of Abraham have all been deceived by Rome during the previous age, which ended in year 2000 (5760). A new age began in 2001 (5761) and now the seventh angel has begun to sound!
Hurricanes Katrina (#11) and Rita (#17) last year provided stunning validation of my research and interpretations of pivotal ancient wisdom, symbologies, key prophecies, and associated religious claims. Consequently, events and outcomes in the so-called physical universe are not random or wholly mechanistic and are verifiably influenced in ways that atheists, scientists, and members of the Faiths of Abraham have all scoffed at. Notice that the dates mentioned (August 11 and 17) directly match the numbers of hurricanes Katrina and Rita, and the time spans of the four Florida hurricanes match my birth year (‘55), and they were spaced 11 or a multiple-of-11 (22) days apart, directly matching my birthday and much other ancient prophecy and symbolism. Even further enlightening, the Second Temple Period of ancient Israel was during the 11th 360-year cycle on the Hebrew calendar and we are now in the 6th year (5766/2005-6) of the 17th cycle. Notice the pivotal 11 and 17 numbers again? This and much other synchronized information serve as stunning and decisive proof of many things, and expose many lies told by all three faiths of Abraham, but most specifically by Christianity. Consequently, I have decisively proven, beyond any shadow of a doubt, that Jesus Christ and Christianity are blatant lies, false prophecy and purposeful deception in a manner that cannot easily be denied, regardless of your faith or other opinions.
Furthermore, the symbolism in the Apocalypse (a.k.a. Book of Revelation) of seven stars in my right hand and seven angels represent the very same above-mentioned seven astrological (360-year) cycles, i.e., the 11th through 17th inclusive. I prove this fact beyond any reasonable doubt in the first chapter of the book. Consequently, The Apocalypse verifiably symbolizes a specific span of time that began with the 11th cycle (Second Temple Period) and concludes now, at the beginning of the 17th cycle (End of Days, etc.).
