143 Days of experience of Obama

You couldn't become

district manager,
chief of surgery,
a school superintendent,
a Colonel in the US military,
the nightly news anchor,
or a CEO of a large Fortune 500 company

after only 143 days of experience!!

But Senator Obama thinks he can become the US President with that amount of time in the senate.

Why?

Because he stayed at a Holiday Inn Express

How long do we have?

How Long Do We Have?

About the time our original thirteen states adopted their new constitution in 1787, Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh , had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years earlier:

"A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government."

"A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury."

"From that moment on, the majority always vote for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship."

"The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years" "During those 200 years, those nations always progressed through the following sequence:

1. from bondage to spiritual faith;

2. from spiritual faith to great courage;

3. from courage to liberty;

4. from liberty to abundance;

5. from abundance to complacency;

6. from complacency to apathy;

7. from apathy to dependence;

8. from dependence back into bondage"

Professor Joseph Olson of Hemline University School of Law, St.Paul, Minnesota, points out some interesting facts concerning the 2000 Presidential election:

Number of States won by: Democrats: 19 Republicans: 29
Square miles of land won by: Democrats: 580,000 Republicans: 2,427,000
Population of counties won by: Democrats: 127 million Republicans: 143 million
Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Democrats: 13.2 Republicans: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory Republican won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of this great country. Democrat territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in government-owned tenements and living off various forms of government welfare..." Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's popula tion already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal's and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

If you are in favor of this, then by all means, delete this message. If you are not, then pass this along to help everyone realize just how much is at stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom.

Eye for an eye, or tooth for a tooth, but I say ....

Went to my nephew's birthday party yesterday and my Dad stated that it was really bad that we're spending all of this money on Defense which could go to education and health issues instead. I stated that we'd all love to do this, but we can't redirect that money UNTIL we have peace and the only way we can have peace is having a strong defense. One day we will, and here's how I come to this conclusion.

Today's Our Daily Bread talks about "An Eye for an Eye, and a Tooth for a Tooth" and how in an inner city Pastor suggests that some people change that phrase to say "Two eyes for one eye," or taking revenge for any hurt that you might have felt. While most people might agree, the real reason for the "two eyes" is that you want to prevent the other person from EVER bothering you again, hence the overkill in seeking justice.

But let's take a look at this. Any "Eye for an Eye" really means that you get equal "compensation" for any wrong that you've been done to as the victim, but this also means that you have to have the "Rule of Law" and mass education of all of the people that this is what is going to be done in certain circumstances. The Jews as a nation do this as a rule, but in some countries this may not be the case both in mass education and in the rule of good laws.

What most people do when they move from "an eye for an eye" to "two eyes for an eye" is no longer justice but revenge. God has always said that only He will compensate revenge while we can only look for justice.

However, when you have "I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also." and you tell the person in today's world to do this, you're telling them a lie!! Let me explain.

The Gospels in the Bible are 90% of today's Christians as what today's Christians are suppose to do, this is hogwash!! From a Theological point of view, look at the tone of three different areas of the Bible concerning justice and the handling of disputes, etc: the Old Testament, the Gospels and Revelation 20 in the New Testament, and the rest of the New Testaments from Acts to Jude, not including some parts of Revelation, but as a whole include Revelation with the Gospels. What do you find? Especially between the OT and the Gospels what do you find?

You find that the tone of justice in the Gospels is much harsher in for everyday life toward each other and the details with which we're "all accountable" toward others. You go from "eye for an eye" to "turn the other cheek" when seeking justice. But how is this possible? How can you move from one approach to the other?

You move to this position because there is a stronger and more specific "Rule of Law" that EVERYONE in the world is abiding by. When is this applied? This tougher rule of law is ONLY applied during the Millennial Reign of Christ in the Gospels and in Revelation 20. If you study all of the Millennial Scriptures in the Bible you'll see that there will be perfect peach because of this new "Rule of Law" and justice, but it can NEVER be applied to us today. (Most Christians are familiar with the Scripture "the lamb shall lie down with the lion" which give you the picture of how the Millennium will be characterized. This is why most Christians are upset by things, they've been taught wrong Biblical truths and when to apply them to their circumstances.

So how does this tougher "Rule of Law" pertain to Theology? We're going to have perfect peace, prosperity, and our environment will be perfect in this world, but in the end people will rise up once more to try and defeat Jesus Christ. Why? Because even with perfect peace and prosperity for 1000 years the end of the Millennium will show that this is not the answer to people's problems, but faith in Jesus Christ as a personal Lord and Savior is the only answer for each person. Even with the Thousand Year Reign of Christ will not change people hearts about Him even though the external will be for everyone to view, but only the Holy Spirit will change people once they recognize that they need Him as their Savior. While those of us still in this Church Age have NOT seen Jesus Christ, we believe the Bible and have become Christians WITHOUT seeing Him, In the MIllennium we'll ALL see Jesus Christ and know Him, but some will NOT trust Him which is why there is the a Last Rebellion in Revelation 20:7-9 with probably millions or even billions of people on "the Great Plain" of the earth (And for those liberals that are worried about Global warming, God will take care of it all.)

So, the application of the Gospel's "turn the other cheek" is not for today, but only "an eye for an eye" UNTIL the new age begins, which is getting closer and closer to my day and time.

Are you ready for:

1. The Rapture, the taking out of all of the Christians,
2. The 7 Years of Tribulation, where all Hell will break loose here in earth and over half of the world's population will be killed.
3. Battle of Armageddon, where all of the non-believers in Christ will be killed and sent to Hell, to begin a new age with only believers where perfect peace will reign called
4. The Millennium Reign of Christ, one thousand years of peace, followed by
5. The Last Rebellion,
6. And a New Heaven and a New Earth.

Jesus Christ does not want you to lose an opportunity here. Trust Him as your Savior, you'll be glad you did.

Theodore Roosevelt's view of what it means to be an American

“In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person’s becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American…There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn’t an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag… We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language… and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.”

Theodore Roosevelt, 1907

You can see more details as to what he was thinking in the article Sole Loyalty where you get a much better idea as to what we an American should be doing today.

The Fallacy of Grievance-based Terrorism

The article The Fallacy of Grievance-based Terrorism goes into detail of what happened to American AFTER the revolution. While the Revolution solved the ground war in America, the Barbary Wars from the late 1700's into the early 1800's all of the American President's had to deal with the Islamic pirates that terrorized the open seas. Here is the clincher to the article:

"The Barbary conflict was the beginning of continuous U.S. interaction with the Muslim Near and Middle East. While Jefferson and Madison believed that a continuous U.S. military presence in the Mediterranean was necessary to protect U.S. national interests, in 1831, President Andrew Jackson secured a treaty of amity and free trade with the Ottoman Empire leading the secretary of the navy to report seven years later that it was no longer necessary to keep a U.S. fleet in the Mediterranean.[18] Three years after Washington withdrew the squadron, Ottoman privateers began raiding U.S. shipping, forcing the reconstitution of the fleet after the U.S. Civil War."

So, what do you think President Bush is doing? What do you think the potential Presidential candidates will be promising? What do the American people think, if they understand what we're up against, and will they do anything?

Only time will tell, but I think the American people will not be too concerned about it, to our peril.

Patrick Henry's "Give me Liberty or Give me Death" speech, March 23rd, 1775

Patrick Henry's "Give me Liberty or give me Death" speech is something which should be read by every student in today's high school and "compare and contrast" what was happening then and what is happening how. Here's but a snippet:

"But different men often see the same subject in different lights; and, therefore, I hope it will not be thought disrespectful to those gentlemen if, entertaining as I do opinions of a character very opposite to theirs, I shall speak forth my sentiments freely and without reserve. This is no time for ceremony. The questing before the House is one of awful moment to this country. For my own part, I consider it as nothing less than a question of freedom or slavery; and in proportion to the magnitude of the subject ought to be the freedom of the debate. It is only in this way that we can hope to arrive at truth, and fulfill the great responsibility which we hold to God and our country. Should I keep back my opinions at such a time, through fear of giving offense, I should consider myself as guilty of treason towards my country, and of an act of disloyalty toward the Majesty of Heaven, which I revere above all earthly kings."

Read it and learn what our founding fathers were up against. This will get more and more intense because the end of the Church Age is fast coming to a close. The Muslims are getting more emboldened and will continue until they are decimated by Jesus Christ in the Battle of Armageddon while trying to snuff out Israel.
