Blacks are getting the message: The US govt is little help

After reading this article "Black Entrepreneurs Win, Corporations Lose" by NBMBAA's Barbara Thomas you find the right combination of ideas and evidence: Blacks are doing better on their own rather than with bigger Corporations!

However, the article fails to realize that blacks have probably benefited from the corporate environment by working for them. It has built their confidence and skill base, not their talent base because they already have that in them. In the film Stand and Deliver about Jaime Escalante, a mathematics teacher, who taught "in a school in a hispanic neighbourhood. Convinced that his students have potential, he adopts unconventional teaching methods to try and turn gang members and no-hopers into some of the country's top algebra and calculus students."

This should prove that there is hope for ALL people, including kids.
